Modification of Waterborne Polyurethane Polymers

The researchers used KH550 (3 aminopropylethoxysilane), HEA (2 hydroxyethyl acrylate), IPDI (isophorone diisoalate), PE0400 (polyethylene oxide 400) as raw materials to synthesize A high molecular polymer containing silicon in the side chain was discovered, and a material containing Si—(}—Si was produced after hydrolysis and condensation. It was first discovered that the material has good shape retention, and the effect of PU/PE ratio on shape retention and vitrification was studied. Effect of temperature, storage modulus and loss modulus,It was found that with the increase of PU/PE, the glass transition temperature increased, and the ratio of storage modulus to loss modulus increased. The study believes that because the embedded PU restricts the movement of the polyurethane chain, it needs a higher temperature to activate, the more the PU content, the more Si-(}--Si connected structures, the high modulus of PU is the material The reason for the high shape retention and high glass transition temperature.

Alkoxysilane (KH550) is used to modify one-component moisture-curing polyurethane sealant. With the increase of alkoxysilane end-capping ratio, the NCO content decreases, which can reduce the foaming of the sealant, but the surface dry time is prolonged. Tensile strength increases while elongation at break decreases.

They also introduced the application of silicone in polyurethane materials. Polysiloxane can form copolymers with polyurethane, used in medical materials, etc.; organosilicon compounds are also used as modifiers of polyurethane, used in coatings, adhesives, sealants, finishing agents and fabric finishing agents and other fields.

The researchers used aminoethylaminopropylpolydimethylsiloxane, a, 2-diaminopropyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane and Y-2 aminopropyltriethoxysilane to extend the chain respectively. The water-based polymer was prepared, and the difference in the modification effect of these three representative silicones with different structures on water-based polyurethane and the related mechanism of action were systematically studied. It was found that among the three types of amino-containing organosilicon compounds, The amino terminal of the silane coupling agent reacts with the isocyanide group to connect the siloxane to the main chain, and then hydrolyzes and condenses the interpenetrating network to crosslink. It has the highest tensile strength and the lowest elongation, and has a better surface than the other two. Hydrophobic, and the modified material presents a sea-island shape, which increases the biocompatibility compared with the unmodified one.

Using/3-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyltriethoxysilane,Y-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(AllOO), aminoethylaminopropyltrimethoxy (All20)silane as raw materials , using the method of emulsion polymerization to prepare silicone-modified acrylic polyurethane emulsion, which has obvious core-shell structure. It is found that when the content of hydrosilane AllOO is 2%~4%, the obtained emulsion has the high gloss and high density of polyacrylate. Hardness and good low-temperature performance and excellent mechanical properties of polyurethane, and has the characteristics of silicone heat-resistant parts, good water resistance and excellent adhesion.
